Dr Deborah Walton
Deborah is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). She works both within the Public and Private Health Sectors. She obtained a Masters in Applied Psychology from the University of Ulster and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Manchester University. Privately, she specialises in the assessment and psychological intervention of adults/children with mental health problems. She is trained in a range of therapeutic approaches, including a strong interest in Metacognitive Therapy. Deborah has worked in several areas including Early Intervention for Psychosis and Looked-After-Children (LAC) services in England. She currently works in Adult Mental Health (Acute & Recovery) Belfast Trust. Deborah's primary interest and specialism is in psychological trauma and is active within this research field.
